Hey everyone!

Things are good here in Brazil. The weather is getting colder.

Conference was great even though it was a bit hard to understand in Portuguese. I was still able to feel the spirit very strong during the sessions. I hope it was a good conference for you guys as well. We had some investigators come and watch the conference with us. They seemed to like it.

I really liked the talk Elder Holland gave about the purpose of Jesus Christ. Christ is here to save us when we fall and to lift us up.

I attached two photos from the last p-day of the last transfer. We went bowling and then had a family night at a member’s house.

Have a great week you guys!

Love you guys!

It is already starting to get colder. But this week will be in the 80s. The seasons are switched here. Right now it is autumn.

Our lessons are getting better. I have been trying new methods to break our repetitive teaching.

Love you

Hey everyone! How are you guys doing?

This week was definitely interesting. We met another great family to teach and we also had a family home evening with one of our investigators.

The photos are of a great family.

Anyway gotta go love you guys.

Hi guys! Another week down and many, many, more to go!

This week was pretty good. We had some really special investigators in church. We taught some good lessons. And I made a lot of tapioca.

Tapioca is a north Brazilian food. It is made with a special type of flour, oil, salt and water. It is cooked in the shape of a pancake then you put whatever you want in it. One of my roommates taught me how to make it. So I made it almost every day this week. This is a picture of me and my companion at an investigators house making tapioca.

I had a special experience this week with the language. Before this one lesson I was really worried about my ability to speak Portuguese. My skills are improving but are still weak. Anyway I said a pray before we went in. Then we taught the lesson. After the investigator asked where I was from and was surprised to hear I was from the United States. I probably spoke the best Portuguese I have ever spoken during the mission. So that was awesome.

One of our investigators is awesome. He loves learning about the church. He has also changed a lot since we first met him. I know he will be a great example. He really has a true desire to know the truth. On Sunday he rode his bike all the way to the chapel. We offered to have a member pick him up but he refused. I was a bit worried he refused because he didn´t want to come. But come Sunday morning I saw him riding in wear jeans and a tee shirt with a Book of Mormon strapped to his bike. It’s amazing to see how the gospel changes us.

I am very grateful to be here. I love you guys very much thanks for your support!

Hi everyone! Well this week was a lot better than last week. We had a really special investigator come to church this last Sunday. He is really interested in the church.

Today we went on an adventure to find maple syrup. We got a tip there was some in this super market on the other side of town. Sadly it turned out to be a bust. They didn´t have any. When we do find some someday I expect it will be in a big warehouse like Indiana Jones in some crate somewhere. But until then I will be eating my French toast with sugar water.

Anyway my time is up got to go. Sorry I took a lot of time writing to the president

Love you guys have a great week!
